Strength and Conditioning Apprentice ROLE

Role Overview:
The Strength and Conditioning Apprentice is an unpaid support role whereby the successful candidate will work closely with our Head Trainers, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the sector of junior strength and conditioning. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn about program delivery, setup, and athlete engagement while providing essential support to our training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the Head Trainer in setting up and delivering strength and conditioning sessions tailored to individual athlete needs.
– Assist in the preparation of training equipment and ensure a safe and effective training environment.
– Observe and learn from the Head Trainer during sessions, gaining insights into best practices for athlete assessment and program implementation.
– Support athlete engagement by providing encouragement and motivation during workouts.
– Participate in training sessions focused on personal development and skill enhancement.
– Contribute to the maintenance and organisation of training facilities and equipment.

Qualifications: Although there are no specific qualifications needed to apply for this post, we do require the following.
– A strong interest in sports, fitness, and strength and conditioning.
– Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude toward personal growth.
– Basic understanding of exercise principles is a plus but not required.
– Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.

football coaching ROLE

Location: Judgemeadow Community College

Role Overview:
Playermade is seeking a dedicated and passionate One-to-One or Small Group Football Coach to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to lean from experienced coaches while looking forward to the potential of working with elite level players. The successful candidate will work primarily during evenings from 16:00 onwards, providing specialised coaching tailored to our players’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging football coaching sessions for individuals or small groups, in line with Playermade’s coaching style and philosophy.
– Develop tailored training plans that focus on skill enhancement and game understanding.
– Foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages player development and confidence.
– Observe and assess player performance, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
– Collaborate with other coaches to share best practices and improve overall coaching effectiveness.
– Maintain a safe and organised training environment, ensuring all equipment is prepared and in good condition.

Qualifications:
While formal coaching qualifications may be required depending on experience, we highly value:
– Proven experience in football coaching, either with teams or on a one-to-one basis.
– A strong understanding of football techniques and strategies.
– A willingness to learn and adapt to the Playermade ethos and coaching methodologies.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with players of all ages and abilities.
